MODERN SLAVERY & HUMAN TRAFFICKING STATEMENT

Even though your turnover may be below the £36m mandatory threshold, publishing this voluntarily is a “gold standard” for Healthcare and Engineering clients.

1. Statement of Commitment

Britannia Pathways Limited is committed to ensuring that there is no modern slavery or human trafficking in our supply chains or in any part of our business. We operate a zero-tolerance policy regarding any form of forced labor, servitude, or human trafficking.

2. Our Business & Supply Chains

As a recruitment agency specializing in Healthcare and Engineering, our “supply chain” primarily consists of professional candidates and the organizations we partner with. We recognize that recruitment is a key sector for identifying and preventing labor exploitation.

3. Our Policies & Safeguards

We have implemented the following measures to mitigate the risk of modern slavery:

  • Right to Work Verification: We conduct thorough identity and Home Office Right to Work checks on every candidate before they are introduced to a client.
  • Direct Payments: We ensure that all candidates are paid directly into their own bank accounts to prevent third-party financial exploitation.
  • Whistleblowing: We encourage all employees, candidates, and partners to report any concerns regarding unethical practices without fear of retaliation.

4. Due Diligence

When partnering with umbrella companies or other intermediaries, we conduct due diligence to ensure they adhere to UK employment laws and ethical standards.

5. Training

We provide guidance to our internal staff on how to recognize the signs of modern slavery and human trafficking during the candidate screening process.

6. Approval

This statement has been approved by the Board of Directors of Britannia Pathways Limited and will be reviewed annually.
