The BSc (Hons) Business & Tourism Management course is a 4-year degree programme, which includes a foundation year. This course is offered at our London, Birmingham, Leeds and Manchester campuses.

This Business and Tourism Management course will equip you with the knowledge you need to create opportunities for the future in the tourism industry. This course will prepare you to work for local, national or international organisations or as a new entrepreneur.

This course will provide you with the opportunity for informal formative assessments to assess your knowledge and understanding. Formative assessments will be completed before your final result is determined and are designed for developmental purposes, helping you to be more confident in your main assessments.

Each module will usually have at least one formative assessment, from which you will receive feedback from the course team. Formative assessments are not linked to your final mark, but they are helpful in increasing your knowledge and confidence.

Formal summative assessments will usually be carried out at the end of each module. Assessment methods may include written examinations and a variety of papers, reports, portfolios, essays and presentations. The marks awarded for the final assessments will count towards your final module mark.

Applicants must be aged 18+ and meet the following requirements:

  • Level 3 qualification (equivalent to 60 credits or 80 UCAS tariff points).
  • The following qualifications in English and Maths must be met: GCSE Grade 4/C or CEFR B1.
  • Listening, speaking and writing will be assessed through an interview.

 

Applicants aged 21+:

  • We also welcome applicants aged 21+ who do not meet the standard entry qualifications, but who are able to demonstrate an interest and commitment to studying the subject and who can demonstrate academic, professional or vocational experience in a relevant field.
  • Listening, speaking, numeracy and writing will be assessed through an interview.
