The BSc (Hons) Applied Business Psychology with Foundation Year is an interdisciplinary degree that combines the analysis of human behaviour with business principles. This course will teach you how to apply psychological theory to marketing, management, human resources and consumer behaviour.
In Foundation, students will have the opportunity to develop the academic skills and employability skills required for higher education, as well as become familiar with the core concepts of psychology and business management.
In the following year, students will develop business psychology and employable skills such as critical thinking, problem solving, communication, teamwork and adaptability, which are essential for success in both business and psychology.
At Level 5, students will gain in-depth knowledge of human resource management (equality, diversity and inclusion), leadership and management, entrepreneurial skills and innovation. Students will also gain important insights into digital marketing strategies from a business psychology perspective.
In the final year, students will gain an understanding of advanced level content and learn how psychological principles can play an effective role in business change and development. Students will learn in detail about the psychological aspects of online communication and virtual interaction, which will help them understand the challenges and opportunities of the digital age.
In addition, students will work on strategic decision-making methods, negotiation techniques and strategic planning. The ‘Career Paths in Business and Psychology’ module will help students develop professional plans, so that they can combine business skills and psychological understanding to build potential careers.
The ‘Project’ module will help students develop problem-solving and analytical skills to address real-life challenges.

This course uses a real-world assessment strategy, where each module introduces students to real-world situations and monitors students’ learning progress.
